Uniting War Memorial Hospital
Uniting War Memorial Hospital (WMH) is a 3rd Schedule Aged Rehabilitation hospital, situated in Waverley, owned and operated by Uniting and part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD).
Services are comprised of 24 hour inpatient care, Monday to Friday outpatient departments, several specialist community teams inclusive of Transitional Aged Care, Aged Care Assessment Team, Geriatric Flying Squad, Young Onset Dementia, 7 day a week day centre, 24 hour accommodation service for regional guests and the full range of hospital support services. It is set within beautiful tranquil grounds and is a well-supported team environment.

- Clinical Psychologists to help with any cognitive issues
- Diversional Therapists to provide group activities and social interaction on the weekends
- Younger Onset Dementia (YOD) program for clients aged between 45 and 65 years who have been diagnosed with dementia, which helps people to enjoy life and stay active, healthy and social through a range of activities
- Day Centres 7 days a week to encourage older people to enjoy getting out and about and centre-based activities to support a healthy and active mind
- Elizabeth Hunter Lodge is accommodation for country/interstate patients and their families/carers when travelling to visit a Sydney hospital, clinic or medical specialist
- Geriatric Flying Squad (GFS) to provide multi-disciplinary geriatric assessment and short-term case coordination for older people living in the Community and in residential care
- Integrated Rehabilitation and EnAblement Programme (iREAP) for outpatients providing early intervention care for optimal quality of life and independence for clients over an 8 week program
- Waverley Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) providing ACAT assessments as part of the SESLHD ACAT service, supporting people to live at home with services according to need or access residential care and/or residential respite
- Transitional Aged Care (TAC) program providing specialist multi-disciplinary community or temporary residential packages for reablement or rehabilitation therapy for clients to regain their independence and live in their home environment
- Transitional Support Program for New Graduate Nurses to enter the specialty of aged rehabilitation nursing under a 12 month new graduate learning framework. This programme is accessed via the centralised recruitment process administered by NSW Ministry of Health.
