All patients attending the Gynaecology Outpatients Department requires a valid GP referral before we can book you an appointment.
Please note that we only accept electronic referrals (eReferrals). This is an electronic referral that is submitted on your behalf by your GP. This replaces paper, faxed and e-mailed referrals. We do not accept faxed, e-mailed or paper referrals.
Once we have received your referral from your GP through our eReferrals system, the nursing team and/or medical team will triage your referral to ensure you will be seen in the appropriate clinic. A letter with your appointment date and time will be sent to your postal address. This booking process may take 7-10 working days to complete.
You will receive a SMS notification(if your GP consents for you to receive these updates in your referral) once the referral has been received, accepted by our clinic and triaged by the nurses.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for your appointment letter to arrive from when we have received your referral. If it has been over 3 weeks and you have not received your appointment letter, please call (02) 9382 6248.
Please note: Referrals to the Chronic Pain Service clinic requires a completion of a questionnaire returned to: NSWH-cppservice@health.nsw.gov.au in addition to a GP or specialist referral before an appointment can be made.
