Courses

The Newborn Care Centre has a comprehensive education Programme.

Nursing education is held Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  Nursing staff are encouraged to attend medical education sessions on Wednesday mornings and Thursday lunchtimes.

A monthly journal club is held by the nursing staff looking at current practice issues.  Staff are also encouraged to put forward journals they have read or suggest in-service topics. The CNS group takes an active role in the education of nursing staff by conducting workshops and in-services, particularly after-hours e.g. on weekends and night shifts.
