Harm Reduction and Viral Hepatitis Program
The Program works in partnership with other health services and community organisations to provide better health care by:
Preventing the transmission of blood borne viruses through coordinating an effective Needle and Syringe Program (NSP)
Increasing access to hepatitis B and C screening and treatment programs for priority populations
Developing population-based health promotion programs to reduce the incidence and impact of viral hepatitis among our communities
Ensuring accurate data collection and reporting in relation to NSW Health targets
Partnering with community organisations to build the capacity of consumers and communities to engage with the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) in the design and delivery of health services
