Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital (SSEH) Security Officer, Shehzad Khan is a constant, familiar and trusted presence around the grounds.
For 15 years, Shehzad has been maintaining the safety and security of staff and patients at SSEH and takes pride in knowing that his presence supports patient care.
“I ensure a calm and secure environment so that staff and patients can focus on healing and recovery,” said Shehzad.
“Knowing that my efforts help maintain everyone’s safety is deeply fulfilling.”
With each shift comes new challenges that require quick thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution.
Whether it’s guiding a lost visitor, assisting a patient in distress, or responding to an emergency, Shehzad leaves each shift feeling reassured that he has had a positive impact on someone’s experience at the hospital.
Always friendly and approachable, Shehzad has been a respected and valued member of the SSEH team for close to two decades.
He sees fostering a welcoming and safe atmosphere for staff, patients and visitors as a key responsibility of his role as a Security Officer.
