Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC)

What we do?

We offer short term care to consumers who requires urgent mental health care and intervention. Our multidisciplinary team will assist the consumer, their family and carers during the 24-72 hours of admission to the Emergency Department.

What to expect?

The PECC team provides comprehensive assessments and care over a short stay of one to two days. A wide range of specialities and health care professionals will collaborate with the consumer, their family and carers, and other services to define a care pathway for optimal transition from hospital to the community. This comprehensive care plan will ensure effective after-care, relapse prevention, and avoid lengthy admission.
