Sydney Sexual Health Centre
Sydney Sexual Health Centre (SSHC) is the oldest sexual health service in NSW, operating since 1933. We are a busy centre offering testing, treatment and management for sexually transmissible infections (STI) and HIV.
If you think you might have been at risk for an STI or HIV, you can do our online risk assessment Am I OK? This will help us work out if we are the best place to meet your needs. We'll ask you a few questions about your recent sexual activity and at the end, we'll tell you what to do next.
We primarily deliver services to people in some priority groups, so if you see yourself as belonging to any of these, then SSHC is the place for you. These priority groups include:
- People living with HIV
- Gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men
- Sex workers
- Aboriginal people
- People who inject drugs
- Young people
We run the Satellite clinic, a walk-in youth sexual health service on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, in partnership with headspace at Bondi Junction.
We offer fast, free and confidential HIV and STI testing for fay, bixesual and other men who have sex with men at a[TEST] Oxford Street and Surry Hills in partnership with ACON.
We have sexual health specialist doctors, nurses, counsellors, health promotion officers, researchers and administrative staff.
You don't need a Medicare card to visit us. If you have a Medicare card and are happy to use it, please bring it with you, but you can still come if you don't have one.
