Youth Mental Health & Early Psychosis Program
What we do?
SESLHD Youth Mental Health and Early Psychosis services provide specialist assessment and mental health care to young people who are experiencing first episode psychosis or who are assessed as being at risk of developing psychosis. These community based multidisciplinary teams work with the young person and their family/carers to minimise the impact of illness and promote recovery.
What to expect?
SESLHD Youth Mental Health and Early Psychosis services provide individualised packages of care which can involve:
- Comprehensive, multidisciplinary assessments,
- Mobile outreach to support assessments and care at home,
- Individual, family and group interventions provided by a multidisciplinary team,
- Consultation and collaboration with other mental healthcare providers and youth focused services
Each young person has an individual key worker assigned to them to assist in engaging with recovery.
