About the SESLHD Health Management Graduate Program
The SESLHD Health Management Graduate Program is designed to develop skilled and capable health leaders and managers for the future. Participants in the program are known as Management Trainees.
We strongly encourage candidates from Aboriginal communities to apply for the program.
The SESLHD Health Management Graduate Program is a broad and comprehensive two-year program with two main components:
- Workplace Component
Participants in the SESLHD Health Management Graduate Program work full-time for SESLHD, undertaking placements of 3-6 months duration through such areas as Hospital Management, People and Culture, Finance and the Executive Unit.Throughout the program, SESLHD provides participants with a range of professional development opportunities, including training, attendance at conferences and events, and mentoring, designed to support and develop participants and prepare them for a successful career.
- Academic Component
To complement the workplace learning and accelerate their knowledge, Management Trainees are funded to complete the Master of Health Leadership and Management on a part-time basis and in online mode within the two-year program. SESLHD is proud to partner with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) for the delivery of the academic component of the program.
Throughout the program, the progress of Management Trainees is assessed against the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework.
