Key points of report:
In 2022:
- 78% of female year 7 students received the first dose of the HPV vaccine, 65% received dose 2.
- 78% of male year 7 students received the first dose of the HPV vaccine, 64% received dose 2.
- 79% of year 7 students received the dTpa vaccine.
- 72% of year 10 students received the meningococcal ACWY vaccine.
Due to COVID-19 there was some disruption in the school program in 2020 and 2021; some of the schools were not able to be offered dose 2 of the HPV vaccine in 2020 and 2021. Some students might have been vaccinated at their GPs, hence the apparent decrease in the coverage as we only report vaccines given at schools.
